1982"Wash It All Off", "Today I Started Slogging Again", "Clothes Hoist", "Ignorance Is Bliss" and "Halo Flamin' Lead" were recorded for this radio show in December 1982, which was never released. Some tracks were later remixed and released elsewhere, but "Ignorance Is Bliss" has never been released, meaning these tracks are only to be found on unauthorized copies of the show, which was broadcast in 1983.

Notes:
Some vinyl copies include a poster entitled "Everybody's Ass Is Up
For Grabs", a full-color version of the 'Dirtdish' CD sleeve center
artwork by Robert Williams.
Tape issue includes above tracks multiple times (minus CD-only
tracks).
'Reflex' magazine's discography states the initial release was in
Nov 1986.
The first GB edition featured the "deluxe cover", consisting of the
wings on the cover being of a metallic foil, a cardboard inner sleeve,
and a sticker on the cover stating it featured "Clint Ruin SFOTW Roli
Mosimann".
The first DE edition featured the same cover sans sticker with a soft
inner sleeve.
Subsequent re-issues on vinyl featured a simple cover where the wings
were just a silver color.

The Some Bizzare CD re-issue was renamed MARC ALMOND & FOETUS 'Violent Silence*Flesh Volcano', which seems to be a mistake or perhaps a poor joke, as "Violent Silence" is from a different Marc Almond release. The Some Bizzare CD re-issue track list is:
"Love Amongst The Ruined" taken from the 'If You Can't Please Yourself You Can't Please Your Soul' various artists LP (see below). "Burning Boats" credited on the Some Bizzare CD re- issue as being from "The House Is Haunted (By The Echo Of Your Last Goodbye)", (see MARC ALMOND below), and also appears on the the ANNIE HOGAN 'Plays Kickabye' 12"EP (see below). "A Million Manias" credited on the Some Bizzare CD re-issue as being from the MARC & THE MAMBAS 'Torment & Toreros' release, which is incorrect, as this version is the 10:16 version. Suspicion is that it is the "MultiManiaMix" from the MARC & THE MAMBAS 'Torment' 12", but without timing it one cannot be sure. Thirlwell does sing background on both versions, though. "Slut" is a re-edited version of SFOTW's "Smut" from the 'Ramrod' 12" (see below), or vice-versa. Note that on the 'Slut' 12" side 2 plays at 33 RPM; the tracks on the CD are the 45 RPM versions, and in this form "Bruisin Chain" is a re-edited vocal version of the FOETUS ALL-NUDE REVUE "Rattlesnake Insurance" from the 'Bedrock' release, and "The Universal Cesspool" is a vocal version of the first half of "Diabolus In Musica" from the same release (the second half being used on the soundtrack to LYDIA LUNCH's 'The Gun Is Loaded' video).
The Thirsty Ear CD re-issue, released 10 Feb 1998, also changed the artist credits to MARC ALMOND & FOETUS, though the title remains intact. The change is due to the added tracks from Thirlwell + Marc Almond collaborations (as opposed to the Almond tracks that appeared on the Some Bizzare re-issue), which are:12" 1987 Widowspeak WSP 14 US CD 1989 Widowspeak WSP 20 CD US CD 1989 Torso/Widowspeak TORSO CD 142 DE CD 19?? Notes:
Some versions of the first plain black vinyl LP issue included a
photocopied track listing.
Second LP release (RIFLEPIC 1) is a double picture disc.
This is an "official bootleg" release (aka an "auto-bootleg").
"Hate Feeler" is actually a cover of the Alex Harvey song "Faith
Healer", which also appears (under it's real name) on the 'Male'
live release (listed below).
After its initial release, Jungle records released 2,000 copies
in 1988, and 500 more on June 29th 1996, in the double LP picture-
disc format.
An unauthorized CD re-issue happened near the end of September 1996,
by Jungle, which was almost immediately halted.
Of interest is that side D of the double-picture disc can be used
as a clock, if one finds clock innards to install on the back side.
Unfortunately, side D was also mis-printed during the some of the
1988 and 1996 pressings, resulting in about 1/6 of the image missing.
Ever since the original release, one of the sleeve panels has been backwards (suspected is one featuring Japanese typography, but Thirlwell has never stated which one).

The 'Null' disc in this set differs from the original 'Null' release in that the original featured the LP version of "Verklemmt" while this disc features the Vid Mix of "Verklemmt". The Vid Mix was made at the same time as the LP mix, and differs in that it is shorter and features a slightly different mix, which was used for the "Verklemmt" video (as the name implies).
"Iris Evergreen" is actually another "Verklemmt" mix, originally titled "Verklemmt - Iris Evergreen Monotomix" when 'Void' was slated for release on Sony; the title was changed for the final release."Friend Or Foe" also appears on 'Gash' (see above).
"Incesticide" also appears on the Various Artists 'Mesomorph Enduros' release (see above); the Various Artists 'Mind The Gap 9' release (see above); as well as on the FOETUS INC. flexi-disc under the name "Somnambulumdrum" (see above)."See Dick Run" also appears on the Various Artists 'Scary Songs For Kids' 7"EP (see above).

?? 19?? ?? ?? ??A recording session Thirlwell did with Jad Fair and his then 8 year- old son Simon Fair. Thirlwell programmed a drum machine and played some sampled sounds live while Simon improvised lyrics, at one point repeatedly screaming "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" while Jad played tambourine (or similar). Whether released is unknown; it's possible that Don Fleming was producing this session. An issue of Option magazine ca. 1993 has a blurb about this, but I have been unable to find that particular issue - if anyone has it please pass along the particulars.

Thirlwell was filmed while touring Europe in support of 'Hole.' Also featured in the film are Coil, Current 93 and Test Dept. Never released, though the possibility exists, and "Puppet Dude" has been played live by Foetus incarnations on a number of occasions (and is a reworked version of Elton John's "Rocket Man").

A quote from Mat Snow - New Musical Express:
"And, just as on TOTP, guesting on the Big Hit Single was none other than London’s greatest underground
genius, Frank Want / Jim Thirlwell / Foetus. Edwyn introduced him with his customary pixie charm:
'He’s fucking useless, but he’s such a nice guy we had to have him play'.
Rip It Up possesses the most sublimely addictive chorus of the year, but Orange Juice
opt for the scenic route rather than a comfy ride. Jim’s bizarre sax is part of that strategy and it works."
